Davis Langdon provided construction cost planning services throughout the design phase of the project. The project was one of the county’s first sustainable design projects, and Davis Langdon was instrumental in developing cost information to facilitate the project team goals, and to ensure that the sustainable features were fully supported within the budget. The project also was being developed during a period of very high cost volatility, and Davis Langdon worked with the design team and the County to ensure that the project budget was adequate to deliver the program. This included close interaction with the project team and with County staff, preparing special cost studies on alternative design solutions, and evaluating market trends. The project bid within the available funds.
