Caltech’s Cahill Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics awarded LEED Gold

The new 114,000 GSF Cahill Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics at the California Institute of Technology has been awarded LEED Gold by the US Green Building Council, with a total of 44 points.  Davis Langdon provided cost management services directly to Caltech, as well as provided sustainable design advice to the project team regarding the measures necessary for LEED certification and the associated cost implications.  In addition to Cahill, we are providing on-call cost consulting and LEED consulting services directly to Caltech. This award allows us to continue our work from the past five years which included assisting Caltech in identifying and controlling operating and capital costs and keeping Caltech abreast of the latest developments in Greenbuilding standards, USGBC related recommendations and state green code applications.
