Davis Langdon was selected to perform a comprehensive analysis of the price effects resulting from incorporating new technologies into the energy code. The project would result in better characterization of technology costs over time, considering the cost reductions that are typical once efficiency standards have risen and the previously premium efficiency equipment is now a commodity product demanded in volume and competing with other produces on price. Findings of this study could be applied for further developing energy efficiency standards.
