Wholesale regeneration of 87 acres of brownfield land on the western side of the City of Bath and adjoining the River Avon.

The scheme will provide office, residential, retail, and leisure accommodation together with extensive infrastructure improvements. It will be dominated by a major new residential quarter providing some 3,000 new private, affordable and mixed tenure apartments and houses to the western end of the site.

To the east a new retail offer incorporates a listed former railway station, straddles the River Avon and is connected by a ‘plaza bridge’ .A new hotel, cultural building, 500,000sqft of office accommodation and other leisure facilities such as a Casino are also to be provided.

The infrastructure will deliver three new bridges, the renovation of a Grade 1* iron bridge and the adaptation of another iron bridge for increased flow capacities and accommodation of the Mass Rapid Transit System earmarked for the City of Bath. A comprehensive road network engineered to keep the estate traffic contained within the site will ease the impact on the surrounding road networks.

New cycle ways connecting the site to the city and surrounding neighbourhood will also provide comprehensive connectivity for the site. A well engineered and comprehensive public realm strategy will deliver good quality hard and soft landscaping together with works and repairs to the existing river walls.
