● Timeous completion.

The interviews were conducted during November/December 2010 and January 2011 with a random, national sample of 143 respondents - comprising 30 architects, 43 construction companies, 50 consulting engineers and 20 property developers.

The interviews were carried out telephonically utilising semi-structured questionnaires – with the ratings being based on the perceptions of the respondents, who also gave verbatim comments on the perceived strengths and weaknesses of the Quantity Surveyor Firms. The firms are categorized according to the number of associates/directors/partners per firm, with those having more than 10 associates/directors/partners being classified as large firms.
