"At Davis Langdon, we have used the information generated through our broad base of project and consulting activities to better understand and forecast cost movements in the construction industry. For almost 10 years, we have been publishing an annual Property and Construction Industry Handbook that contains key quantitative data about the Australian property industry. In 2006, we made a first attempt to measure construction industry 'sentiment' that is, to identify confidence, outlook and emerging issues for the industry by surveying a large cross-section of industry reprensentatives which included designers, major contrators, subcontractors, engineers, developers and other industry players.
