We recognise our responsibility to our people and to the societies in which we operate.

At Davis Langdon, we have established a corporate social responsibility agenda to develop a worthwhile yearly program that will provide meaningful actions across a broad social spectrum.

The elements of our agenda are:

  • Adoption of a national charity of the year to direct monetary assistance
  • Identification of needy organisations where our expertise can be given free of charge
  • Development of strategies that promote environmentally responsible business practices
  • Development of communication strategies that enable our people to be aware of our commitment and our obligations within the social settings in which we work

Davis Langdon (in Australia) is a National Gold Corporate Donor (Victoria and NSW) of the Property Industry Foundation – the charity of choice for the property and construction industry. The Foundation is a charity helping young people at risk and working to prevent youth homelessness and has an upcoming fundraising event, National Hard Hat Day, which is campaigning in June and July 2010. For more information on National Hard Hat Day, please click here.

Our charity of the year for 2009 was Emergency Architects Australia who sends architects and other built environment specialists to disaster areas to rebuild devastated areas in a sustainable way. In addition, the Fred Hollows Foundation was supported during 2009.

Davis Langdon employees are proud supporters of:

  • Movember - raising money and awareness for The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and beyondblue: the national depression initiative.
  • Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea - raising money and awareness for the Cancer Council

An Australia wide Davis Langdon employee raffle was, on behalf of Oxfam Australia, held after the Haiti disaster raising money to assist with the ongoing recovery of the island.
